BASKING RIDGE, NJ (June 27, 2013) – Ann M. Painter, RN, MSN, of Toms River, NJ, has been elected Vice-Chair of the Home Care Association of NJ, an organization offering information, assistance and advocacy for home health care providers, patients and their families. She is currently President & CEO of the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills, headquartered in Basking Ridge, NJ.
Painter has over 23 years of experience in home health, hospice and community-based health services. Passionate about increasing awareness of the high quality outcomes and cost effectiveness of mission based non-profit healthcare, she is extremely active in the professional community and advocacy efforts. She has presented on clinical best practices at the National Association of Home Care and Hospice Conference, the future of nursing at the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA), and as a panel expert on nursing opportunities at the 2012 New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA) Annual Nursing Convention. In addition to participation on the Visiting Nurse Association of America (VNAA) Education Committee and Quality Task Force, Painter briefed Congressional staffers from New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts on the significant impact of CMS Face-to-Face requirements on home health organizations and beneficiaries during the 2012 VNAA Public Policy Leadership Conference.
