The Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills is an active member of Somerset and Morris Counties Health Departments’ Bio-Terrorism Task Forces. In the event of an emergency the agency would be involved in providing vaccinations and medication to residents of Morris and Somerset counties impacted by the emergency. 

As part of this task force the VNA participates in educational activities regarding emergency and bio-terrorism planning activities. One such event was the Somerset County’s TOPOFF 3 emergency preparedness exercise held in April 2005. The VNA of Somerset Hills served as a lead agency in this initiative used to evaluate the readiness of the County to respond to an emergency through this role playing exercise.
