VNA Names New Nursing Supervisor
BERNARDSVILLE, NJ – The Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills has announced the promotion of Karen Raji, RN, BSN, to Nursing Supervisor, effective January 1, 2007. Ms. Raji has been with the VNA since 2002, as a Community Health Nurse and most recently, the OASIS Coordinator. With over 20 years of nursing experience, Ms. Raji’s resume includes positions as an Emergency Room Nurse Manager, Infusion Nurse and Occupational Nurse. She is a Certified Hospice & Palliative Care Nurse; Certified Emergency Nurse; Homecare Coding Specialist-Diagnosis; and a Certified OASIS Specialist-Clinical. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Nursing from Excelsior College.
As Nursing Supervisor at the VNA, her responsibilities include planning, managing and maintaining quality nursing care in accordance with all state and federal regulations as well as agency policy, mission and philosophy. In her new position, Ms. Raji will work closely with physicians, patients and families, clinical staff, and other VNA departments to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
Ms. Raji resides with her family in Edison, NJ.

The Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills celebrated 100 years of service in 2004 and began the Centennial Campaign which has raised $8.90 million for construction of the new headquarters at 200 Mt. Airy Road in Basking Ridge.
