Agency Recognized Nationally for Quality in Patient Care Outcomes
BASKING RIDGE, NJ (November 4, 2009) – The Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills has received a 2009 Vision Award by OCS HomeCare, a benchmarking software company, ranking the agency in the top 25 percent of all home care agencies nationwide. The OCS Vision awards honor home health and hospice organizations that achieve strategic and innovative uses of OCS products to further agency performance.
The agency also received Homecare EliteTM Status, the definitive compilation of the most successful Medicare-certified home health care providers in the U.S. It recognizes the top 25 percent of agencies based on an analysis of quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance.
“In other words, the VNA of Somerset Hills’ clinical staff provides quality care that ranks it among the best in the country,” said Barbara Weber Berry, President and CEO of the VNA of Somerset Hills. “It’s wonderful to have our agency recognized nationally for the quality of work that we do.”
VNA Director of Clinical Services Suzanne Van Loon and Ann Palermo, VNA Clinical Informatics Coordinator, accepted the OCS Vision award on behalf of the agency at the National Association of Home Care conference October 10 in Los Angeles.
“In our constantly changing payment reform and regulatory environment, we were very impressed with our clients’ ability to keep their focus on improving operational performance, elevating quality measures, and maximizing their time for patient care,” said Amanda Twiss, OCS President. “This year’s OCS Vision Award winners clearly demonstrate their ability to rise above rapidly regulatory changes while elevating their financial and clinical performance to new heights.”
