Enjoy a “Taste of the Hills” Featuring Central Jersey’s Finest Food
A Night of Sampling and Socializing Benefits the Adult Day Center of the VNA of Somerset Hills

BASKING RIDGE, NJ (October 15, 2009) – Gather a group of friends and come join a fun and delicious night out at the Taste of the Hills on Sunday, November 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fair Winds at the Basking Ridge Country Club. Hosted by the Friends of the Adult Day Center of the Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills, the event will honor the Basking Ridge residents Elsie and Fox Stoddard for their years of dedication to the Adult Day Center.

More than 35 restaurants, caterers and bakeries will feature small plates of appetizers, entrees, desserts along with fine wine and coffee from area companies. Tickets are $75 per person prior to the event and $85 at the door. All proceeds will directly benefit the Adult Day Center of the VNA of Somerset Hills and its programs which extends the ability of people in our community to remain living independently. “The Taste of the Hills is a fun opportunity to support the important work of the Adult Day Center,” said Friends Trustee Jeannie Lynch.

The Adult Day Center of the VNA of Somerset Hills in Basking Ridge provides customized care for the frail elderly or chronically disabled adult who would otherwise have to stay home alone or be placed in a long-term care facility. The Day Center’s experienced and caring staff focus on enriching, fun activities designed to ensure that participants’ physical, cognitive, creative and social functioning will be maintained at the highest possible level.

Last year’s participating food establishments included Alba Vineyard, Artist Baker, Bamboo Grille, Black Horse Tavern & Pub, Bombay Curry & Grill, CocoLuxe, Country Picnic, Demeter’s Pantry/Taste of Crete, Due Terre Enoteca, Equus Tavern, Fair Winds Catering, Gary’s Wine and Marketplace, Gourmet Touch Bakery, Green Mountain Coffee, Illy Coffee, KC’s Chiffafa House, Le Petit Chateau, Meadow Wood Manor, Olde Mill Inn/Grain House, Ome Catering, Pierre’s, Ross and Owren, The Bernards Inn, The Famished Frog, The Pluckemin Inn, The Store, Vine and Willie’s Tavern.
