BARBARA M. WEBER BERRY NAMED PRESIDENT AND CEO
OF VNA OF SOMERSET HILLS BY ITS BOARD OF TRUSTEES

BASKING RIDGE, NJ (July 15, 2009) – Barbara M. Weber Berry has been named the new president and chief executive officer of the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Somerset Hills by the organization’s Board of Trustees. Mrs. Weber Berry was vice president of patient services and chief operating officer at VNA Home Care of Mercer County in Trenton since 1994. She succeeds Evelyn K. Savage who announced her retirement last year after serving 25 years.

“We saw some excellent candidates but it was a unanimous decision that Barbara would be the best person to take over the leadership of the VNA,” said Board of Trustees President Ev Prather. “Her nursing background and leadership experience of a home health agency was the combination we were looking for,” she said.

During her 30-plus year career, Mrs. Weber Berry has served as director of patient care services, staff development supervisor, nursing supervisor and staff nurse at Community Nursing Services in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. She also was an adjunct nursing instructor at the College of New Jersey.

Mrs. Weber Berry graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Science in nursing with a specialty in community health nursing and a received her Bachelor of Science degree from Trenton State College. Barbara lives in Hopewell, New Jersey with her husband, Tom Berry. She serves on the Local Assistance Board of East Amwell Township in her home county of Hunterdon.
